LA-407 Linear Servo Amplifier

Our linear servo amplifier design features a high-speed DSP that provides real-time fault monitoring and detection. Sophisticated algorithms are used to continually protect the amplifier from potentially damaging conditions, including overpower.

All of our amplifiers feature Safe Operating Area (SOA) protection, which monitors the power of each output transistor and protects the amplifier from damage in the event of an overpower condition. Linear servo amplifiers that do not have this feature can easily be damaged, or destroyed, if the power in the application exceeds the capability of the linear servo amplifier.

Our linear servo amplifiers have proven to be extremely reliable in the field due to our robust design, extensive fault protection circuits and quality control procedures. Each unit must undergo comprehensive testing including an Automated Test Procedure that ensures all circuits are working correctly.

Our proprietary Autobalance feature allows fast and easy setup of the amplifier with any motor or load. With the push of a button, this feature automatically balances the amplifier and motor for optimum system performance. Valuable manufacturing time (and money) can be saved since the balancing routine is typically completed in a few seconds and the technician does not need any special tools or equipment.

All of our linear servo amplifiers are easily configured using either the on-board jumpers or with the built-in serial interface. The serial interface also allows monitoring of the drive parameters and status in real-time during operation. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory during power-off conditions. Our servo amplifiers can easily be configured during production by downloading the settings from a host computer.
